Pronouns and Adjectives

A pronouns is a word that is used in place of a noun to avoid repeating the name of a person, place or thing. The subject pronoun ella replaces Alcia.

1) with me conmigo, with you contigo

2) a) find the verb b) find WHAT (qué) or WHO (quién)

sample:    Ella pidó el pescado

                     verb    directo = lo

   Ella lo pidó

3) a) find verb, b)find to WHO (a quién) or for WHOM (para quién)

sample:  Ella pidió el pescado al camarero

pidió=verb, el pescado=what, al camarero¡to whom

Ella se lo pidió [al camarero]

4) Two L(lo/la/los/las)   ...  L  (le/les). The Le/Les becomes se

Rules on accents:

Me lo comprar or comprármelo. Count 3 left from the end and make ' i.e. á

Estoy comprándomelo. Count 4 left from the end and make ' i.e. á

Samples:

¿Tú me amos? Do you love me?

Se lo escriban cartas. They write letters to them.

Él se las escribió [a ella] ayer.  He wrote it to her yesterday.

Juan siempre se las trae [a ellas/nosotros]. Juan always bring it to them.

Él siempre nos los manda por Pascuas. He always sends it to us for Easter
